Expressing.
It's only been 10 years. In the 1950s fashion was more strict. Fast forwarding to the 1960s were things got a little bit more loose. Women wanted to express themselves. Consumerism was rising really after world war 1. This made room for more modern looks to happen. Polyester made its way into the fashion world. Materials got more cheaper and people were able to wear what they wanted. Allowed them to take more risk. Mini skirts and bright colors came into place. The 1960s was so free the " Hippie" movement began. This movement was a rejection to the Vietnam war. The 60s broke fashion traditions. Skirts and dresses became shorter.
