Why was the 1950s called the "Golden Age"? This may be due to the fact that there wasn't as many crimes as their is today. Although there was segregation. Crimes did happen but it wasn't really talked about. This was the end of world war 1 so it brought much peace. People were starting their lives over or just picking themselves back up. Segregation was still happening though. African-A,americans were not allowed or

What the years brought.
The 1950s brought more feminine women. Fruffles and bows were offened added to their clothing. Many girls were adding three-quater length coats to their dresses. Tunic and fleecy topcoats were trending. These years was the years of suits. Straight skirts and jacket was the trend. The Chanel suit was major it was produced in 1954. The evening wear was amazing. Although it was strict. Cocktail dresses were only to be worn in the " Early Evening" While ball gowns were worn after 10pm. Skirts were trending also. In the 1950s it was circle skirts mostly worn by teenagers. Sleevless and hlterneck tops and blouses were popular.
